Childhood Reverie

On top of a vintage handkerchief base, my childhood image printed on tissue and enhanced with embroidery rests upon a map depicting the Coosa River Bend, surrounding fields and stars above the horizon. A chrysallis stitched onto a teabag, two moths, and a caterpillar complete the scene. In my subconscious, this must have related to my own growth and development taking place on the former Alabama plantation.
